Pho - Vietnam's national dish

Updated: Jul 22

Phở (/fɜː/), or rice noodles soup, is one of the most famous Vietnamese dishes you should try at least once.

A warm bowl of Pho typically consists of rice noodles, bone broth infused with fragrant spices, herbs and different types of meat. We also put in chilli sauce and fresh lemon juice to add even more flavour to the dish.

There are 3 simple steps to enjoy Pho from Viet Rice Box:

Step 1: Add lime and chilli sauce to your personal taste.

Step 2: Pour all the broth into the bowl.

Step 3: Mix everything up and dig in.

There are different variants of Pho

Pho can be served differently, with different ingredients and tastes depending on the region. For example, Pho can be accompanied by seafood or duck. Bun bo Hue, another well-known version of rice noodles that originated from Central Vietnam, is normally spicy. Nevertheless, Pho tends to have a combination of different flavours.

As we are from the North of Vietnam, our favourite version is Pho Ha Noi, which is also how Pho is served at Viet Rice Box. We offer the two common types of meat to enjoy with Pho: beef and chicken (Order here to try).

Pho chay - Vegan Pho

Although it is not popular in Vietnam, Pho can be made with vegetable broth and topping. We also offer Vegan Pho served with tofu. The vegan broth tastes extremely similar to the traditional broth, ensuring the same experience of authentic Vietnamese food.
